What can women expect from this experience?
What are the benefits of going through the process called "The Journey"?
Why would you and I recommend this program to women facing breast cancer?
Meet Claire Timmerman
Claire Timmerman is an English woman who was brought to The Journey nine years ago. After a diagnosis of ovarian cancer and subsequent chemotherapy
she found herself on a journey of self discovery which led to her first Journey Intensive. The work was so simple, made so much sense and answered
a real calling inside that she underwent the full practitioners program in Australia. After a year of self healing and growth it was time for her
to return to the UK when she was offered the opportunity of working with Brandon Bays and The Journey Seminars. For the last six years she has
managed the European offices and has been the events manager for the European and North American seminars with Brandon Bays. For many years she has
had a passion to share this work with those dealing with a cancer diagnosis and especially women. Meet Beverly Vote
Founder & Editor of Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine
In 1992, Beverly Vote was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38. Her personal life and professional career
were thrown into a distraught tailspin. She learned that she had no point of reference for healing and no role model specific for breast cancer.
Her fears seemed to control her experiences until she learned there were ways she could indeed empower herself. Read more about Bev...Twelve Important Core Lessons I Have Learned Continue reading
What people are saying...
"Having had breast cancer almost 20 years ago and working with many women over the years in my practice, I thought I was complete
with, and had fully worked through, my own illness with total healing. After all, I had done all the recommended traditional treatments as well as many
complementary and alternative modalities. This thought was reinforced by excellent health over the years. Then during one Journey, I uncovered an emotional
memory that was stored in my breast and was able to access the pain within the cancer as well as the learning from it in a way I had never done before.
This felt like true freedom. I was able to embrace it all and let it go with forgiveness and compassion. This gave me a deeper awareness and strength
that now allows me to assist others as well as live my life, more fully and with more acceptance, clarity, balance and joy for which I am eternally grateful.
I highly recommend that all women who have had breast cancer, no matter how long ago or how recent, to experience The Journey to Breast Cancer Wellness Seminar." Nannette Goldstein, MD Psychiatrist
and Journey PractitionerLife can turn on a dime! Yes, and for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer one is immediately propelled into a world that is fear-filled, unfamiliar and urgency-laden from within and without and having to sometimes make irrevocable decisions in a relatively short amount of time. Being thrust into the Planet of the White Coats, the maze of medical, physical, social and familial - all of which require energy balance and stability.
I believe there is no wrong way to cope with this life - and body-altering diagnosis. Most turn to family, friends, clergy and the medical profession for support and guidance. A relatively small percentage of women and men will seek support from a group or individual counseling. As a mental health professional, I have been partnering with individuals who are coping with a breast cancer diagnosis for over 15 years now. I feel privileged and honored to be allowed into what I call "the inner sanctum" of people who are making life-and-death decisions. I also assist individuals and families as they negotiate the final stage of their life and assist family members after their loved ones have left the body.
Until four years ago, talk therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction were the therapeutic tools that I found useful and beneficial. The benefits derived were manifold – coping, surviving, accepting and integrating the losses, security, safety, identity, femininity, sexuality, financial constraints, friendships, etc. This happened over an extended period of time and often many women and men were left with emotional wounds that just didn't heal.
In 2005, I was graced to become aware of The Journey in my own search for healing and aliveness. As I found myself experiencing the depth and breadth of healing and transformation that The Journey Process provided me, I started offering it to my clients / co-wayfarers in life. The beauty and simplicity of The Journey Process are second to none. One woman recently said "In therapy I feel better for a while, and my heart is touched, but The Journey opens my heart, clears my mind, and touches my soul in a way that I can't describe." Sometimes a single process results in resolving life-long pain and in a few hours pain/suffering that has been held for years just falls away. Paralyzing fear, loneliness, hopelessness, shame, guilt and inability to enjoy or live life are replaced with hope, trust, confidence, a sense of mastery, desire to live and fulfill dreams, a sense of connection to self and others, and a deep knowing of the love, peace, and light that are at one's core.
The Journey has allowed these amazing ladies to uncover blocks, release stored pain, forgive themselves and others, connect with their innate wisdom and healing, and to live their lives in a way that sees the love and beauty in themselves and other. Edyle O'Brien, LCSW
"The Journey process for me was a truly enlightening experience. I was offered a session when I was at a very deeply troubled point mentally in my recovery from Breast Cancer... Edyle, my therapist in the support group which I attended must have sensed (and was right) that I would be helped greatly by the Journey. The experience itself was very visual for me, while I was guided deeply and slowly into my inner soul...I will never forget the feeling of connecting to my Source in life. I often now can reconnect just by having been through the process, which brings me great satisfaction. I was able to understand and resolve deeply rooted emotions that I am unsure would have been resolved ever in conventional talk therapy. The time went by very quickly during the session, I couldn't believe that hours had gone by when I was done! And I was changed by that one initial process, forever. In the days following the session I felt very light and relieved, like I was walking on air...And I still feel lighter...It was an amazing experience that has enabled me to overcome blocks to health and wellness that I felt completely stalled under. Of course the maze of life has myself and everyone else engaged in it's daily grind...but since this process I feel that I have a much deeper sense of satisfaction and peace within that I can tap into. What a gift it was for me and subsequently those in my life. Thank you Edyle for enabling me to experience the Journey" Alice
"Two days later after The Journey Intensive weekend, I could no longer feel my lump. My next mammogram confirmed it had gone...the cancer has never come back. I feel the Journey saved my life"

1 My Transformational Journey from a Breast Cancer Survivor into a Thriver
"I learned the true source of my symptoms: RAGE!!" In the fall
of 2005, as the date of an impending elective surgery to remove my ovaries slowly neared, I acquired a severe case of hives ALL OVER my body. Not just ordinary run of the
mill hives, but loud hives, flaming hives, out-of-control burning hives. My doctor followed the traditional western model for helping me by first prescribing steroid cream, which
was only marginally effective. Next, she upped the ante by giving me oral steroids for eight days, which seemed to calm the symptoms... Continue reading

2 Breast Cancer and Me
"Through cancer I learned how to live in my body and how to trust my body's wisdom. I also learned how to love myself and how to live an authentic life." The essence of truth sits at the edge of every story and the story is what connects us and allows
us to help each other to heal - and to find freedom. I could not believe what I was being told. There was no doubt in my mind - until
this moment - that it wasn't cancer. The surgeon went on to tell me when my surgery would take place and all I could hear was someone in the
far distance talking, saying things I couldn't hear because my heart was beating so loudly in my ears... Continue reading
